Girl Scouts of America Tour

Girl Scout Troop 497 from Sadorus, IL visited the MAE Center on April 9, 2001. Graduate student Omer Erbay demonstrated the shake table and spoke with the students. The troop divided into groups to construct Lego buildings to test on the shake table. Others learned about Missouri geology and the built environment on the interactive touch screen display. A tour of the Crane Bay by John Nichols gave the troop an overview of the types of research being conducted.
