Missouri Earthquake Awareness Week

Hands on earthquake exhibits at the St. Louis Science Center initiated Missouri’s annual Earthquake Awareness Week on Saturday, February 3, 2001. The participating organizations included the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Red Cross, Saint Louis University Earthquake Center, Washington University, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Southeast Missouri State University, and the MAE Center. Each of these organizations exhibited interactive displays and provided various informational earthquake materials and handouts.
