Ridge Farm Elementary School

 MAE Center UIUC graduate students Tracy Smith and Oh Sung Kwon presented an earthquake preparedness and safety program at Ridge Farm Elementary School, Ridge Farm, IL, April 1, 2004.  This presentation was a part of the Student Leadership Council Classroom Visitation program.  105 fifth grade students watched a video on earthquake preparedness and safety, explored school disaster plans, and learned about what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.  A doll house, specially designed to sit on top of the miniature shake table, demonstrated to the students the effects of an earthquake.
