Graduate Research Assistants Field Missions
MAE Center graduate students are provided an opportunity to participate in a field assessment exercise through an annual Center-wide competition. Each year, four students are selected to visit a recent earthquake site and tour accompanying engineering laboratories. The earthquake field study promotes international collaboration and augments student prospects for team building and improving communication skills. Participating students gain a global perspective and establish connection with future international colleagues. To learn more about each of the past field missions, click on the year.
