As a result of the FEMA sponsored Case Study Project to test the NEHRP Guidelines for the Seismic Rehabilitation of Buildings (FEMA 273) and Commentary (FEMA 274), engineering calculations and drawings from approximately 44 architectural and/or engineering firms throughout the country have been deposited at the MAE Center for public access. The material provides state-of-the-art examples for seismic evaluation and rehabilitation of existing buildings according to FEMA 273 and includes comparisons with current practice. Case studies include government office buildings, post offices, hospitals, fire stations, courthouses and other existing buildings. A listing of all case study buildings is available below.
