Social and Economic Sciences

The Social and Economic Sciences thrust includes research on the development of effective decision support systems to incorporate the social and economic consequences of earthquakes and other natural disasters, to improve the usefulness of these models to evaluate earthquake risk reduction interventions, and to improve the accessibility of these analyses for decision makers in different organizations.  Four research projects are included in the Social and Economic Sciences thrust.
