Undergraduate Research Workshop
An enthusiastic crowd of College of Engineering undergraduate students attended the Academic Programs Committee, Engineering Council’s 5th Annual Undergraduate Research Workshop (URW) on Monday, February 23. The Engineering Council is the students’ voice in the College of Engineering. URW is a chance for students to learn about UIUC research and prospects for involvement. MAE Center Student Leadership Council chairperson Tracy Smith and MAE Center Education Program Specialist Sandra Menke introduced center research and discussed opportunities for undergraduate participation. The workshop gave students a better understanding of how to pursue research opportunities and what would be expected of them as undergraduate researchers.
